Starting August 29, 2011 the new Disney Aulani Resort in Hawaii will be opened. The resort will be on Hawaii’s most popular island, Oahu, located near the city of Kapolei, and covering 21 acres of land. This will be Disney’s third resort, but the first that is not connected with one of their theme parks.
This impressive resort will feature 460 Disney Vacation Club Villas as well as 21 Grand Villas. Also there will be 359 hotel style rooms and 16 suites. Not to mention that there will also be four restaurants located at the resort, with each one of the restaurants unique in its own way.

The Pacific Business News reported today that Disney has announced the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Disney Hawaii family resort will be held Nov. 19, 2008.
The formal Hawaiian blessing and groundbreaking will be held on the future resort’s 21 beautiful oceanfront acres at the Ko Olina Resort & Marina in West Oahu.

Disney made it offical last week when they announced they would be opening a new Disney Vacation Club Resort in Hawaii.
It looks like this is going to be a big one – 350 hotel rooms and 480 private villas for vacation club members. But that’s not all – there’s also going to be some amazing ammenities such as gardens, pools, water slides, a fake volcano caldera, a spa, a banquet and meeting space, two towers, and even wedding facilities!
