Honolulu, Maui Among Top 10 2008 Christmas Vacation Destinations
Is it really any surprise? Who wouldn’t want to vacation at a resort in Hawaii this Christmas?
Two popular vacation destinations in Hawaii have been named among the Orbitz top 10 Christmas Vacation destinations for 2008. Honolulu was ranked 4th, up from last year’s spot at 13, and Lahaina, on Maui, debuted on the list at 9th place.
Orbitz compiles this list by reviewing their hotel and vacation package bookings on Orbitz.com for the week surrounding Christmas.
Honolulu, the capital of the 50th state, is located on the beautiful island of Oahu in the Hawaiian Island chain. This Christmas the local weather should be in the 70s, making for a pleasant, sunny Christmas vacation (without snow!)
Lahaina is the largest city on the island of Maui. Weather is comparable to Hawaii, but there are less people, even though this city was originally the “Royal Capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom” before the US annexed Hawaii as a state.

Honolulu is really very nice and attractive place for spending vacation. It is the main attraction for the tourists all around would. I have great longing for going to Honolulu this Christmas. Thanks for sharing such a nice post here.
I love Oahu. Especially fond of Hanauma Bay and Sunset beach myself. I traveled in April and loved the climate.
